What to expect

All routine eye exams include a dilation, retinal screening, and refraction which is the portion that provides your eyeglass prescription. We now offer Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) screenings for $39 or based on your insurance co-pay. OCT machines are a non-invasive way to take detailed, cross-sectional 3D images of the retina and optic nerve using light waves. It allows the doctor to see the individual layers of the retina and optic nerve and to map and measure thickness and changes over time. While we recommend everyone have this done at least once to get a baseline for future comparison, we highly recommend this for patients with diabetes, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.

Preparing for your exam

When you are ready to book an exam, we ask that you have your insurance information ready (ID numbers, type of insurance, subscriber's name, etc.) for our staff. We can verify your insurance ahead of time and be prepared to answer any questions you may have about your benefits when you come in for your appointment.

We fit spherical, toric, and multifocal contact lenses. Let us know when booking if you would like an updated contact lens prescription, if so, please wear your contacts in to the exam. Turnaround time for most contact lenses is just 3-7 business days, but for an additional charge can be expedited.
