Q: Which insurances do you accept?
A: Common vision insurances that we are in network with include: Regence, Aetna, Premera, United, Cigna, First Choice, Davis Vision, VSP, Eyemed. Common insurances that we do not bill include: Medicaid, Spectera. Unfortunately, we do not bill secondary insurance. Q: How long will it take for my glasses to be made?
A: Average turnaround time for glasses is 7 - 10 business days. This may vary depending on your prescription, type of lens you wear, or lab restrictions.
Q: How long will my exam be? Do I have to be dilated every time?
A: Routine exams typically last 30 - 45 minutes. Most patients need a dilation every three years, but it is up to the doctor's discretion whether or not you will need to be dilated. We also offer OCT screenings at $39 dollars which is the typical insurance co-pay, although depending on coverage, yours maybe covered at a higher rate. (If it is not convenient for you to be dilated during your routing exam, you may schedule another time to do so.)
Q: What if I need to be fitted for contacts?
A: We do fit for contact lenses in our office, although insurances do not consider this part of the "routine exam", and therefore do not cover this expense. Pricing varies depending on the fitting needed and your insurance coverage. We do offer a discount on out of pocket fittings.
A: Vision insurances are supplemental to your medical coverage which frequently do not cover routine eye exams and hardware benefits like glasses and contacts. Many visions insurances do not send you cards in addition to your medical card, but may have it listed on the back of the card. If you’re not sure who your vision provider is, please reach out to your HR team. Common vision insurances we accept are VSP, Eyemed, and Davis vision.
